this is the end, as The Doors said a couple of years ago! we have finished 2nd. Batxillerat; marks, exams, homework, classmates, teachers.. everything will change the next year, and we start a new ethape of our lifes at the university. we have been in the school since we were childs and now, our whole life will be completely different; we fly away from our homes, at first. And then, a lot of things more..
I want the best for you since now, and I hope we continue seeing ourselves from now on!

cinema

I think that cinema is one of the most important things in our life, not so much as music (of course, jaja!) but yeah, imprescindible.
I really love to watch a film sitting on the sofa, drinking something and with good company, but always if it is a good film; I don't enjoy bad cinema (a part of Serie B terror films and some comedia films which are fun instead of his quality). A few of my favourite films are Pulp Fiction, Sin City, the trilogy of The Lord Of The Rings, Truman's Show, 300, Reservoir Dogs, Kill Bill, Braindead... All are amazing films, but I have to say that maybe Pulp Fiction is the best one, I've watched it a lot of times, and everytime I've enjoyed more it. My favourite directors are Quentin Tarantino, Peter Jackson, Robert Rodriguez and others (Polanski, Spielberg, Kubrick...).
In fact, I really love cinema and a lot of styles (I'm going from Kill Bill to Austin Powers -which is very bad, but fun xD-), and I think that without it, our life would change a lot to bad and that we would lose a lot of brilliant moments to enjoy.

On July the 6th, there's an important music festival in Castelló d'Empúries and Empuriabrava: Doctor Loft festival 05:00. I really want to go, but there are two problems: the first is that this day I'm supposed to be working in the bar, but it can be solved if I talk with my boss and I make an accord with him.. The second one is worst; the minimum age to come is 18, and I will be 17. I don't know if I have any way to solve that, but you can be sure that I'm gonna fight for it, because I really wanna see REM (who's biggest hit is Losing my religion) and Editors (rock bands) and other artists like Jeff Mills (an incredible DJ)...
If someone knows a solution, please tell me jaja! I'm really worried about that.

the end of a cycle

yesterday, in Madrid, a cycle finished. A cycle of the football team FC Barcelona (from Barcelona, obviously), who lost the match between them and Real Madrid with a clear result 4-1. This year, the team hasn't been a team; the football players have been only a few undisciplined young mens who have spend their time going out and don't respecting to the team rules. So, the year has been an horrible year; no LFP (Spanish league), no Champions League, no Copa del Rey, no derby and no anything. In theory, FC Barcelona is a great team, and this results can't be for a team like that, so a lot of things will have to change; the coach, most of the players and a lot of directives. This week the first new about that who had took place is that Frank Rijkaard, the actual trainer, will be out of his place and Pep Guardiola (an ex-player of FCB) will took his place as coach of the team.
We hope next year everything will be better!

the doors was an american rock band formed in 1965 by Jim Morrison (voice), Ray Manzarek (keyboard), John Densmore (drum) and Robby Krieger (guitar). They joined in Los Angeles to revolutionate the world of rock.
The band was completely conditionated by the difficult personal life of Jim Morrison, the singer, who became a drugaddict and a compulsive drunker. Most of the lyrics of this band are by Morrison, who created an strange and psychodelical letters to their songs. They seperate in 1971 when the leader, Jim Morrison, died.
They have became a legend of rock music, and they've sold over 45 milion LP only in the USA.

I've write this post to show you a little bit of this exceptional band, The Doors, which I knowed by my father and which I really love since years. I recommend you to listen them; you can do it here.

bridge?

In catalan we say that "pont", but I don't know if in english is the literal translation "bridge" or not; however, we have 4 days to do anything don't going to school and don't think much about our responsabilities. Barrakes, sleeping, eating, and being free are the most popular activities on these days ;)

On the other hand, on June 13, we're going to a concert in Girona by Extremoduro, sure, because we're going to buy the passes today or tomorrow as last. I really love this band, since I was a child (maybe 8 or 9 years old), and before I die, I HAVE to go to a concert by them, so I cannot leave out the possibility of being in Fontajau this day!

summer is coming

Today I'm gonna talk about my summer holidays.
I will begin my holidays at June the 12th, when I finish the Selectivity. The day after this, I'm going to a concert in Girona, make by Extremoduro -one of my favourite bands-. Then, we're going to travel somewhere with my school mates (Malta, Sevilla...), but I've a problem; the 18th. Bad Religion is in Barcelona playinga concert and I'd love to go there... I'll have to decide!
At 1st of July, I begin working in the same bar when I worked last year, La Placeta in Sant Pere.
And well, my summer plan will be that: sleep, eat, work, go out; sleep, eat, work, go out... etc etc.

'barrakes' days

Yesterday, the Barrakes in Figueres started as ever had started; we stayed there for hours (until 5:30am) and we enjoyed the most the night, talking, joking and laughing with friends in the place which the Barrakes take place. Yesterday was Friday and the first day, so not a lot of people came, but today, because it is Saturday and because the band Los Suaves come, the whole community will come :D Then, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, but at Wednesday we begin a mini-holidays so we will go to Figueres every night until the next Sunday-

3rd. term

Hello one more time people!
This time maybe I've started a bit late, but we've got a lot of work, exams and books to read, so I haven't found a space for the blog since now. In 1 month we finish the school year, and we have to do the final sprint which is very hard...

This weekend has been different, but no better than others. The only special thing that I've done was on Friday, when some students of 2nd. Batxillerat met at Empuriabrava to have a lunch (I didn't go to the lunch, I had come later) and to do SOMETHING because the concert we had organizated had been cancelled... 2 friends and me came at Empuria at nearly 0:00, but we stayed only until 2:30 because we were tired and it wasn't a very funny party there.
A part of this, I have stayed at home these whole 2 days, reading for the school and staying at the computer with music or surfing the Internet... I hope next weekend will be better!!!

So, that's all for today. I will do more posts soon (if not, I won't end the Blog :S!)

Yeah! 3 exams and we finish this horrible days :D Well, I'm very very tired of study, so I've decided to leave the book and say.. Alea Jacta Est, so I won't study more for today and tomorrow, God decides hahaha!
By this time, at Saturday, I'll be at the doors of the Olimpic Palace of Badalona, waiting for the beginning of the Marea's concert, when I go with some friends!!! It will be perfect, sure, and I'm very happy 'cause I can go there.. Marea's concert are simply awesome!
And that's all for.. today? NO! For this term! So, this way I close my second term blog, and I hope I'll get a good mark, like I always say:)

PSOE vs PP

Hey I'm gonna talk today about... the general elections wich are today in Spain. The specialists say that PSOE will win, but I'm not so sure. The PP voters always go vote, not like the PSOE voters, because they think it is sure that the socialist party will win and they say "oh, doesn't matter, it will win, it is not necessary to go vote..." and maybe this way PP will get more votes.. Well, I don't want that! Goodbye!

Hi, today I'm gonna talk about my favourite radio station; FlaixFM. It is a Catalan station created in 1992 by a French man, who wanted to discover dance music at this country.
At FlaixFM, you can listen all styles of music related to electronic (Dance, House, Trance -not a lot-, Minimal, Techno, Electro...), so it is a station that young people like very much. Nowadays, over 200.000 people listen to this frequence, so it is the 3th more listened in Catalonia.
The most important program in it is called Calibre45, in which they create a list with the 45 more important songs in the moment, with new entries, 6 good songs called "Cracs de la setmana", 1 song that will be very important called "Megacrac" and the most important of the week, the Number 1. Every week the list changes and there are new songs and songs that "disappear".
Today is Saturday, so this afternoon the list will change and my prediction is that the Number 1 will be "Automatic", by Taito Tikaro; and the Megacrac will be "Time", by Millennium.

So, that's my favourite radio station and I recommend you to listen to it one day! ;)

my possible holy week

Hey people I'm gonna tell you how will be my Holy Week this year.
I think I won't have any homework these days, because we've done the research paper, we'll have done the exams, and we won't have any book to read (or I hope that!), so it will be a very relaxed holidays.
Maybe me and my friends will go out with the car to disconnect and pass some days outside Catalunya, but we don't know what can we do yet. The thing sure I'll do is spend 2 days in Bcn with one friend with who I haven't been since last summer... And of course, I'll stay at home for days, doing anything a part of sleep, stay at the computer ordering songs and music and listening to my favourite music :)
I hope it will be a good holydays before the last sprint and the Selectivitat...

Hey people, today I have to study Geography so I won't be long ;).
The teacher said that if we want to get better marks in the blog we have to choose original topics, not always party, school and music, so today I'm gonna talk about... my Internet!
In my free time I always surf the Internet to search things, talk with my friends or listen to music/watch for videos. I have in my favourites the next webs: Gmail (my e-mail), Fotolog.com, Flaixfm.cat (a radio frequence), Youtube.com (where I watch videos), FilmAffinity.com (where I look at the new films there are etc.) and Beatport.com, when I can see the new songs of the Electronic world that Dj's have created.
I think that if you know the "favourites" of a person, you can know more about him and discover his likes. So, in that post you can realize my personal likes about Internet things :). To finish, I wanna say that I think Internet is one of the most important things in our world...

a complete weekend

Well, today I'm gonna talk about how have been my weekend. At once, I thought this would be a normal weekend, with party at Saturday's night and a lot of relax; but NO. This have been I think one of the most active weekends of this year, and only today, Sunday, I've been relaxed into my house doing homework and reading.
On Friday, I went to Figueres to go shopping until the dinner time, and I had a dinner with my sister in my home, and then we talked for hours. After that, my friends came to call me and we went to Marte to listen a session by Pastis & Buenri. There was a lot of spanish-makineros people, but we passed a good time dancing like crazy people :D. On Saturday, I spent the day playing tennis at the morning and doing a long session of Biliard with my father, my brother and my uncle. At night, we went to Hot Temptation at the weekend's best party: FLAIX FM.
So, I'm very very tired today and I only have forces to read books of english and litherature for the school.

2 weeks and we finish

Hello! Only 2 weeks and we're on the Holy Week (I don't know if it is the name in english, but I hope so). 2 weeks of a lot of exams, of course, but a very big party too: this Saturday, on Hot Fata, there's a FLAIXFM party with Miquel Fontova and Jordi Veliz as Deejays! I will go there for sure, because I really like the music that FLAIXFM (a Radio frequence) has in its dayly programation, and I think that we can pass a perfect night in a discotech with this songs :)
So, I invite you to come to Sant Pere; it will be amazing :)

second term

Hello! So, I'm gonna begin my 2nd term blog.. Yeah, a lil' bit late, but we have had to do the Research Project and a lot of things for the school.
These last weeks I've listened new groups of music, specially bands that do Indie Rock; Editors (the best in my opinion), Pulp, Hard-Fi, Modest Mouse... And people who does other styles of music, like Nick Cave and Jack Johnson. I've enjoyed a lot these groups, and I think I'll go to the concert that Editors do on March 31th at Razzmatazz in Barcelona :)

well! that's the last post of this term, and I think I've done a short but a GOOD blog. But I'm not completely satisfied of the result, so I promise to improve the level of my writings in the next term and I think I can do it :D

So, I don't know what can I do to end this step of the course. Only that I hope you've get good marks and, if you haven't done it, I put all my moral support to you to improve your marks...
And, of course, I force you to pass a good time this 4 days that we've holidays :)

my research paper

Today, to drive in another way, I'm gonna talk about a concret topic, not about my daily life.
So, the topic is gonna be my TDR; an study of the language which "The Simpsons" use.
In my work, I'll watch the 25 episodes of the 9th. season of the serie, and I have to write all the things that the personages say in all of the minutes, and, after that, I'll write a description (physical and psychological) of all the personages in the serie.
A part of that, I'm doing questions to a few people of the school and of my environment, and I'm gonna take conclusions of the results I'll check with the answers of every person.

I think it's a good topic, but I haven't done a lot yet, so I must do an important part of the work this days of december that we've holidays and, of course, in Christmas I must have ended that.

Yes, that's true; the end of the first term has began this week. Tomorrow we have the first of a large number of exams; maybe 15... So, we have to employ a lot to make sure we rise up and we pass this first stage well :)
So, we'll have to study every day, we'll only can go out on Saturdays, to forget a little bit the stress of the week...

This weekend will be very strange because we don't know what we'll do.. Well, this night I'll play poker with some people and maybe I won't return to the school (because I'll become rich) and then we're going to do a Surfer's night, like every friday of the last year.. To remember good moments with all of we :)

The problem is tomorrow; we can go to Pacha, to Fata (the most probable option), to Chic, to up6 or maybe we will stay at home... So, I don't know where, but I wanna go to a disco and pass a good Saturday! Goodbye!

perfect night

Yeah! Finally we entered in Pacha, and well.. No words to describe maybe the best night of this year; perfect music, perfect friends, perfect disco.. If I could travel in the time, now I would be in Pacha again! So, I recommend you a lot to go to this discotech, If you can. I haven't got the minimal age, but I entered in like my other friends.. If you go there with a nice clothes and you make a face like "Uah, I'm the best, I'm 18, you can't say anything to me!" you'll enter :).
Kurd Maverick was in Pacha making a session of Electro-house which I really enjoyed, specially at the moment which he put "I found you" and "Let's work" together.. Definetly he's a master with the vinyls...

Nothing more.. Well, yeah: teacher, please, revise my exam. I don't think that the mark is correct.. ;)

Wow, what a bloody days... only exams, exams and more exams. Tomorrow, art; Friday, spanish history; Monday, philosophy, and then... nothing more :)
I don't think I'm gonna get good marks of art and history, moreover I don't think I'm gonna fail any exam (for the moment).
So, this weekend we wanna go dinner with a group of girls, very good girls who are our friends since last year, and after the restaurant, we're going to enjoy the night at Pacha -if we enter-.
And that's the summary of this week, for now on, we don't have a lot of exams and I think I'll can relax a little bit to forget the stress of these lasts days!

Today is a bad day...
I've stayed at bed all day 'cause I'm ill, I've a lot of pain in the neck and well, this morning I couldn't wake up so I haven't gone to school. This way, I haven't done the English exam we had today, so I'll do it on monday I think!
This weekend begin the Barrakes of Girona, as I said last day, but if I feel like today.. oh, no..
Buf, I think this weekend will be a liiiitle bit boring, specially 'cause I must study Latin if I want a good mark at the exam I have on Tuesday! I'm going to watch the TV for a few... Hours? I cannot do anything more!

Thank God this weekend begin the "Barraques" of Girona, and we would disconnect a little bit talking with all the people there (because if you go to Barraques you meet all the people you know) and enjoying the night with our friends...
this Friday we have the reading exam about "The Fly" and I've to read aproximately a 50% of the book tomorrow, so I hope tomorrow the teachers won't put us a lot of homework...

frankfurt 07

Hello!

I've stayed 1 week in Frankfurt, with my letters Batxillerat's classmates :)
We've passed a very very fun time, walking around the city and talking, laughing and joking a lot... But these things aren't for life, and we had to return last sunday and reprend the exams, homework and classes; the rutine of every school's day... Moreover, we've decided to repeat this experience, because pass a few days with your friends is the best thing you can do, specially if you can listen to music every day when you arrive at the hotel and more.
So, I have to say that this trip has been one of the best things I've done this year, and I hope it hasn't been the last trip I do with my friends. Goodbye!

starting the blog

Hi! I'm going to introduce myself, but not a lot 'cause you know me since 3 or 4 years...

My name's Franc and I am doing 2nd. Batxillerat at your school, of course. This is the 4th. blog I do, and well, I think it will be better than the 3rd. 'cause I've stayed for 2 weeks at the UK and I think I've improved a little bit my level of English (:
So, let's begin with the year! Firsts exams, firsts homeworks... The rutine of every year, but this time is different, 'cause it is the last year (yeah, the last!) that we're here. In 10 months, I'll stay at Barcelona if everything goes right...
